As you walk, the arch
of your foot acts as a shock absorber transmitting the bodys
weight evenly throughout the foot. Jogging and running multiply
the pressures on the foot up to 4 times your body weight. Problems
in the foot/ankle alignment may be responsible for knee, hip, and
back pain. At Active Physical Therapy we evaluate the biomechanics
of the foot/ankle complex to determine if the problem is structural,
muscular, or proprioceptive and then build a personalized rehabilitation
program to address the problem and get you back into your active
lifestyle.
