Monica R. Mocny, PT, Co-owner of Active Physical Therapy, an independent physical therapy practice. She received her physical therapy degree in 1985 from California State University at Northridge and UCLA Hospital and Clinics. Her affiliations include the Arthritis Foundation and American Physical Therapy Association.

Home Healthcare is Monica’s niche. Patients that are unable to leave their home, welcome Monica’s help. This welcoming spirit is one the main reasons she enjoys performing physical therapy in the home setting. Monica has special training and experience in the areas of acute and chronic pain management, geriatric care, joint replacement rehabilitation, strength training, sports injury prevention and rehabilitation.

She lives in Santa Barbara with her husband Mike, son, Anthony and daughter Peri. Monica has competed in several marathons and she currently active in weight training, cycling and swimming.
